2025 photography goals and end of year wrap up for Sian T. Photography, Surrey photographer
So how did I do against my goals for 2025? - a mixed bag I reckon!
I'm giving it a solid B+ for 2025 and here's why

1) ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ผ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐๐ผ๐ฝ ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป - I'm doing more and getting better both at the filming and the editing - such that I no longer hate it like I used to - though it occasionally still drives me round the twist!

2) ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฝ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฏ๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ - I've gained some fantastic new clients this year, several of whom I have already worked with several times and who I know will be people I'll work with again in the future. Plus, some of my existing clients have stepped up their game business wise and I'm there supporting them just like I hoped to be!
3) ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐๐ - I've gathered some good evidence for the difference having a photography partner can make to a business and that feels like mutual success to be
4) ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐น - this has meant focusing on quality over quantity of shoots and shots. Taking my time to perfect a shot rather than rushing to get many shots. It's difficult; in the digital world clients expect hundreds of shots but what they really need are stand outs, it's a balance and I'm happier with where I am with it now.

1) ๐๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ผ๐ป - I still didn't get to do much of this in 2025 - finding the kinds of up and coming designers I want to work with proved too hard again this year. Budgets are squeezed and costs are going up so there's just not the money for creative shoots. We need to find a way round this folks, send me ideas!
2) ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐น - I did some, which after several years of doing none is definitely better but quite a few plans had to be cancelled for various reasons so perhaps 2026 will be better
3) ๐ง๐ฒ๐น๐น ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ - I'm still not comfortable sharing about me & my work on social media and I have to accept that. I'm great talking to people face to face, writing about it and doing the radio, it's just social media feels wrong to me. I'm going to look for some new ways to share about what I do - ones that fill my soul instead of draining it!
All in all a pretty decent year! How was your year? What's on your board for 2026?
